Chapter Overview
Welcome to the AGA Cleveland Chapter website! The AGA Cleveland Chapter has been around since 1954, serving professionals in the government financial management community by providing quality education, fostering professional development and certification, and supporting standards and research to advance government accountability. We hold a multitude of trainings and events throughout the year, including affordable (and even FREE) CPEs, educational luncheons, social networking events, and an eight CPE all-day annual training seminar. Chapter Membership
Our chapter provides a dynamic forum for federal, state, and local government professionals, as well as private sector partners, to collaborate, learn, and grow. Membership is currently approximately 80 professionals and continues to grow.

The AGA Cleveland Chapter operates in accordance with the bylaws established to support its mission and ensure effective governance.
Community Services
Service has always been a foundational pillar of the AGA Cleveland Chapter. Our members actively participate in community outreach and professional development initiatives that strengthen both the government financial management community and the broader public.
Past Presidents

Our History
AGA is committed to increasing government accountability and transparency and has been instrumental in assisting with the development of accounting and auditing standards and in generating new concepts for the effective organization and administration of government financial management. The AGA Cleveland Chapter is made up of more than 80 members, primarily federal employees. Our membership also includes state and local government employees, private – sector members, academics, libraries, students, and retirees. Our members are elected officials, senior executives, mid-level managers and supervisors, senior, middle and entry level employees and students working in government financial management professions.
The AGA Cleveland Chapter is part of the larger AGA, a national organization dedicated to advancing government accountability.
AGA National
AGA supports professionals in federal, state, and local government, as well as academia and the private sector, by: Promoting high standards of conduct and ethics Providing quality continuing professional education Encouraging professional certification Supporting research and thought leadership in government financial management Through its national network of chapters, AGA fosters collaboration, innovation, and leadership across the public financial management community.
